Our readers expect the highest levels of scientific accuracy, credibility, and integrity from JOPP and we will not compromise that trust with advertisements for products that do not mirror those standards. In short, our readers expect the highest quality from JOPP, in both our editorial content and advertising, and we will not let them down.
Before accepting any advertisement, we require complete literature on technical specifications for your product. We will closely review these specifications and possibly test your product ourselves, and we will then notify you of our acceptance or rejection of your product advertisement.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION FOR NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENT MANUFACTURERS
Independent university research consistently disputes most supplement manufacturers’ claims, particularly as these claims relate to sports performance enhancement. We therefore require a nutritional supplement manufacturer to provide us with independent and peer-reviewed research for purposes of review. In addition, independent laboratory research has consistently found that nutritional supplements either lack greatly in specified ingredients and/or their amounts, have dangerously high levels of ingredients, and/or are tainted with trace amounts of substances banned by the International Olympic Committee and other sporting organizations that employ doping control. To address this issue, we require supplement advertisers to also provide us with an independent laboratory analysis of the product they seek to advertise with us.
